I treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions and injuries — from back and neck pain to shoulder, knee, and hip issues, as well as support before and after surgery. I also work with kids and teens, including developmental delays and orthopedic conditions.

In most cases, yes — physical therapy in Austria requires a doctor's referral, except for preventive sessions. Your referral should specify the type and duration of treatment, e.g., "10x physical therapy, 45 min each."

As of 02/2026, ÖGK and BVAEB (two of Austria's public insurers) don't require prior approval from a chief physician. If you're insured with KFA or SVS, please have your referral approved before starting treatment. If you have questions, feel free to reach out before our first session.

The number of sessions really depends on your goals and your specific condition. We'll always plan this together, based on what makes sense for your situation.

I work on a private-pay basis, outside Austria's public insurance network. Part of the cost can be reimbursed after you submit your invoice — the exact amount depends on your insurer. As of 02/2026, ÖGK members receive €45.62 back for a 45-minute session, and €30.40 for a home visit. If you have private supplemental insurance, it may cover the remaining balance — please check directly with your provider for details.

A typical session runs 45–60 minutes. This can vary depending on your referral and your specific condition.

Please bring your doctor's referral and any relevant medical records to your first appointment. I recommend wearing comfortable clothing. For sessions at the Korneuburg location, please also bring a large towel or sheet for the treatment table.

If you're unable to make it to an appointment, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, I'll need to charge the full session fee.

Payment is made by bank transfer, so you won't need cash. I'll share the details with you at your first session.
